American Students and Teachers Visited Our University

From July 30 to August 4, 15 teachers and students from Nevada State College and Brigham Young University visited our university and exchanged views with our university’s teachers and students on the theory and history of Chinese medicine, nursing skills education and practice.

The group visited the Herbarium of Chinese Medicine, Center of Chinese Medicine Culture, Chinese Medicine Cultural Center,and affiliated Hospital. They exchanged and interacted with Professor Li Shaogui, a great master of Chinese medicine, and experienced TCM treatments and health care methods,such as acupuncture, massage, fiery pot, ear point burying beans, three volts paste, medicine and tea and so on. The broad and profound culture of traditional Chinese medicine gave them a impressive memory.

The American group had a lively discussion with nursing representatives of affiliated hospitals and our university’s graduate students in Nursing on the differences in the health care system between China and the United States and Intensive care after Ms. Tracey Long, a member of the Board of Nursing and Professor of Nevada State College, introduced the characteristics of the nursing in the United States.

The delegation also visited Xibaipo,and Zhaozhou Bridge, having a better understanding of China's history and culture. This event is a new beginning of educational and medical cooperation between our school and institutions in the United States, and will promote further construction and development of "double-class" university.
